Bear Hugs Children's Foundation is a non-profit organization that is based here in South Florida. We provide humanitarian aid and medical care for children and their families, and contribute to scientific research in the areas of pediatric illnesses. BHCF gives research centers the opportunity to pursue incredibly promising ideas in childhood disease research. The organization also educates the public about childhood illnesses and supports quality-of-life programs for pediatric patients and their families.

Pediatric Cancer research is at a pivotal junction. Breakthroughs are being discovered at increasing frequency. As recently as the 1950's a diagnosis of cancer was a virtual death sentence for a child. Today, 8 out of 10 children with cancer can successfully be treated. Our research Centers that are supported by BHCF are working hard to change statistics on all childhood illnesses. The research did today will save the children of tomorrow.

We have Partnered with the finest health providers in America in our efforts to aid these children and families. Our Spokespersons are Television and Radio celebrities, Professional Athletes, Medical Doctors, Musicians, Actors, and Parents, all with a collective goal: To help those children most in need. Please browse our web site to learn more on our cause.

When three-year-old Drew was just 9-months, his parents, Heidi and Tony, noticed a slight glow in the pupil of his eye. They also noticed that his left eye appeared to be lazy and it would frequently fade up and to the left.
